Our Services

We support workplaces across Aotearoa to respond with compassion to grief, death, and loss.
Through assessments, training, and tailored support, we help organisations understand their current culture and take meaningful steps to create workplaces where people feel safe, supported, and valued during life’s most vulnerable moments.

Education

  • A 2.5-hour interactive workshop for up to 30 participants introducing the fundamentals of compassionate culture in the workplace. Topics include: loss and grief at work, entitlements and support, how to have tender conversations, and personal preparedness. This session lays the groundwork for meaningful, shared understanding across the team.

This is a prerequisite for entering the certification pathway.

  • Empowering managers and team leaders to role-model empathy, create psychologically safe teams, support staff through grief or crisis, and foster inclusive communication—especially in challenging conversations.

  • A beginner’s guide to understanding dying, death, and care in our communities—from what palliative care really means to what happens after someone dies.

  • Explore how different cultures approach death, mourning, and caregiving. Learn how to honour and support diverse needs and rituals in your workplace or team.

  • A practical guide to Advance Care Planning, Enduring Power of Attorney, and preparing for end-of-life—emotionally and legally. Supports employees to plan for themselves, loved ones, or clients with clarity and confidence.

Other Services

  • We provide coaching and mentoring on a per-hour basis to support employees, teams, or leaders navigating recent grief, bereavement, carer burden, or other significant loss.

    This service can be offered:

    • To support a recently bereaved employee

    • To guide teams after the death of a colleague

    • To help managers respond appropriately to grief in the workplace

    • As part of a compassionate return-to-work plan

  • We offer ad hoc “TED-style” talks and panel events, featuring voices from palliative care, spirituality, mental health, bereavement, and lived experience. These talks are designed to open up workplace conversations about death, dying, caregiving, and grief, and can be tailored to suit your sector or team.

  • We host facilitated group sessions—like Death Cafés, Departure Lounges, or Tender Conversations at Work—where staff are invited to explore topics of loss, mortality, and meaning in a safe, open and non-clinical space. These sessions foster trust, empathy, and community connection within the workplace.

  • We provide tailored consulting services to help your organisation become more grief-informed and compassion-led. You can engage us for:

    • Specialised ad hoc training
Targeted workshops or coaching sessions on grief, loss, caregiving, communication, or end-of-life preparedness—designed for your team, sector, or situation.

    • Education packages
Bundled sessions or learning pathways that align with your goals (e.g., leadership development, sector-specific grief awareness, or team wellbeing).

    • Toolkits & workplace resources
Practical, evidence-based tools to help staff and managers feel equipped to respond to loss and support others with empathy.

    • Policy review & recommendations
We can review your current bereavement, caregiver, EAP, or wellbeing-related policies and make tailored, values-aligned recommendations to bring them in line with best practice and lived reality.

    • Post-crisis response
We offer coaching and facilitation support in response to workplace bereavement, sudden death, or collective grief.
